Ninneman Wins Late Model Feature at Peach State
Jefferson, GA (May 28, 2005) - Wisconsin native Clark Ninneman took home the checked flag in his Freightliner of Atlanta racer in the 40 lap Pro Late Model feature at Peach State Speedway Saturday night. "We knew the GAS (Georgia Asphalt Series) Series was in Cordele (Watermelon Capital Speedway) tonight and we had never been there. So we decided to come up and run Peach State because we have had pretty good luck here," said Ninneman.
The only incidents in the 40 lap feature were two minor spins by Richie Etheridge and George Aultman. Rounding out the top ten were Dennis Wilder, David Watters, Kevin Perry, Wes Whitfield, Joel Anderson, Daniel Martin, Richie Etheridge, George Aultman and Brian Smith.
In the special 50 lap Mini Stock feature, Spanky Hicks of Toccoa took the lead on lap 3 and never looked back en route to the victory. Hicks took home $500 for his efforts. Rounding out the top five were Brad Burdette, Gerald Jones, Tad Hicks and Jason Bates.
Travis Hearn inherited the victory in the 25 lap Sportsman feature when Mark Caudell failed the post race inspection. Rounding out the top ten were Mathew Rouse, Chuck Cooper, Greg Ausburn Rob Horton, Keith Barrett, Corey Dearing, Bill Adams, David Murphy and Mark Caudell.
The next event at Peach State Speedway will be Saturday, June 18th with a regular racing card.
