Kelley wins Georgia Asphalt Series 100 at Peach State

Jefferson, GA (September 21, 2005) - Snellville's Paul Kelley, led flag to flag ,winning the 100 lap Georgia Asphalt Series feature at Peach State Speedway Saturday night. Kelley took the lead on lap 1 from pole sitter Richie Etheridge and never looked back.
Rounding out the top five were Etheridge, Fredrick Moore, a great run by Joel Anderson and GAS Points Leader Doug Stevens. On lap 33, there was a hard crash on the front straight involving Jimmy
Garmon, Dennis Wilder and Kevin Stephen which brought out the red flag. None of the drivers were able to continue and none were injured. GAS driver Ryan Bowman was transported by ambulance for apparent heat exhaustion when EMT's couldn't stabilize him at the track. His condition is unknown at this time.

Phil Peppers takes another win in the 25 lap Iceman Feature. Peppers was followed by Mike Davidson, Wes Whitfield, Charlie Tankersley, Brandon Woods and Brian Hardman.
SPORTSMAN...
Michael Massey took his first Sportsman victory at Peach State leading flag to flag in the 25 lap feature. Following Massey were David Murphy, Chuck Cooper, Keith Barrett,, Russell Shore, Donald Wingo, Corey Dearing, Greg Ausburn and Terry Medley.
MINI STOCK...
Anderson, South Carolina's Brad Burdette took another victory in the 20 lap Mini Stock feature.Following Burdette were Spanky HIcks, Gerald Jones, Tad Hicks, James Gaines, James Nash, Timothy Sorrow, Jimmy Bales and Corey Hardy.
The GAS Series returns to Peach State Speedway, September 17th.
