Sanders finishes 2005 GAS Season with
World Crown 200 win at Peach State

Jefferson, GA - The 2005 Thomas Concrete World Crown 200 at Peach State Speedway lived up to it's hype. The competition in every division was exciting for the fans and competitive for the drivers.
Veteran racer Ronnie Sanders of Fayetteville, Georgia, took the lead on lap 154 from 2004 Georgia Asphalt Series Champion Fredrick Moore, on his way to win the Georgia Asphalt Series Thomas Concrete - World Crown 200 Sunday afternoon. Ironically, Sanders competed in the very first World
Crown event at the speedway in 1982.
This was also Sanders second win in the last 3 Georgia Asphalt Series events. The last coming at Watermelon Capital Speedway on October 1st. Competition was though out the field with 7 lead changes among 7 drivers. Taylor Satterfield, 2005 Southern All-Stars Champion Matt Hawkins, Wayne
Willard, Bubba Pollard, Doug Stevens and Fredrick Moore each took turns leading the 200 lap event.
There were 10 cautions during the event, including a multi car pile up coming out of turn two involving several drivers. No one was injured.
WORLD CROWN NOTES:
LONGEST HAUL... Sharpsville, Pennsylvania's Will Thomas, made the 14 hour tow too Peach State Speedway for the World Crown 200. Thomas is a regular competitor at Lake Erie Speedway and competes with the ASA Late Models. Thomas finished 15th in the 200 lap event.
SMOKIN'...While leading the World Crown 200, Wayne Willard erupted his engine on lap 61. Smoke lingered over the speedway for several minutes after it happened.
HISTORY...The World Crown has quit a history. Started in 1982, the event has drawn drivers such as Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison, Mark Martin, Dick Trickle, Kyle Petty, Rusty Wallace, Darrell Waldrip, Joe Ruttman, Red Farmer, Jody Ridley and the late Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison and Neil Bonnett. Also ASA Greats, Bob Senneker, Scot Hanson, Rich Bickle, Butch Miller and Harold Fair.

SUPER TRUCKS
Each time the Super Trucks visit Peach State Speedway, the drivers put on a great show for the fans. This time was no exception. In what was probably the most entertaining race of the weekend, drivers scraped on the track (and off track) for the $2000 winners share.
Roger Adkins survived the 75 lap slugfest on his way to the win. This was his first win at Peach State Speedway. There were 7 lead changes among 6 drivers including Jeff Guthrie, Greg
Motes, Curt Britt, Kevin Barrett and Cohen Motes. Five drivers were disqualified from the event for incidents off and on the track.

Phil Peppers won another Iceman feature, passing Brian Hardman on lap 6 on the way to the win. Hardman eventually fell out of the 50 lap event with engine problems
