Exciting Opening Night At Peach State Speedway
Under a clear but chilly night a very good cr
owd was on hand to christen the 2007 season at Peach State Speedway. The USCS Sprint Car series had a nice field of cars and put on a good show. The local divisions all had good car counts, and had exciting racing action. I am expecting the final race results any time and will be posting the results, points, etc as soon as I get them. I did want to say how the track has made some major improvements the fans will love. There has been over $100,000 spent on a brand new sound system, and also a new score board has been placed in turn #2. It is all quite impressive, and very fan friendly.
The new scoreboard is the latest state of the art design. As you can see here, it shows the time of day, also running order, and on the bottom is a message board. It can be used to display anything. What race is running, who is on the pole, lap times, wishing happy birthdays to fans (your request, just ask). It even has graphics. It's really very nice and even those of us using it are still learning all of it's capabilities. Should be interesting to see it in action and enhance the race and info about the race and events.

eeting. Drivers are required to attend to get the rules and procedures for the nights event. Officials answer any questions, and make sure all the drivers know the order of events for the night, etc. This is a important to keeping the night running smoothly and one event running right after enough all evening.
Brian Huff won the pole in the Super Truck division. Congrats Brian. As stated at the beginning, the complete results, points, etc will be posted in the next couple days.
