GAS Stars Return To Peach State this Weekend - Event #14
After an exciting race the last event in which local racer Dwayne Buggay was able to run down and pass Jimmy Garmon with just a hand full of laps remaining, the GAS Stars are back in action this weekend at Peach State Speedway. Expected to attend will be the runner up from Lanier Jimmy Garmon, along with points leader Russell Fleeman, rookie of the year leader Kyle Fowler who also had another great outing at Lanier winning the pole and posting a third place finish. Points leaders Bubba Pollard, Greg Motes, David Elliott, Michael Pope, and Kevin Stephens and all the other drivers in the top 10 are expected to attend. Also expected is local competitors Kevin Perry, Joel Anderson, Joey Senter, Larry Jordan, and Nick Potts. Track favorite Joel Anderson is also expected. He dominated the race the last time the GAS series was on hand, and looked to have the race in hand until the cars rear end slipped out from under him with just a hand full of laps to go and he hit the wall. Many others are expected to be on hand and fields are expected to be large as the World Crown 300 draws nearer. As has been reported, if you win a GAS series event at Peach State you are automatically locked into a starting spot for the World Crown 300 in November. There is only this weekend, and one other GAS race left at Peach State this season, so chances are running short to grab one of those guaranteed spots. That should make the racing even more intense. Make plans now to be on hand. All local divisions will be in action also.
