Weekend Recap From Peach State

Wanted to post some snap shots from the action of this past weekend race events held at Peach State Speedway.

Now here's something you don't see everyday.  A station wagon running in the Mini Stock class... interesting

Just after the green flag flew, the cars of Chad Atha (inside) and Mark Burton tangled and ended up in the outside wall.  Neither was able to continue.

Clinton Sheriff bakes in his hot truck while waiting to go out and practice.  Temps were near 100 degrees

Ben Kay has a nice looking Mini Stock car.

Had some exciting action in the Pro Truck race.  There was action like this everywhere you looked the entire race

Brian Huff started on the pole for the Pro Truck race.

Mickey Wright climbs into her late model car so it can be teched for weight.  Mickey had a rough night and got a leg injury in a late crash,

They slipped in a birthday cake on Track and GAS promoter Micky Cain as he was about to start the drivers meeting.  All the drivers kidded Micky about getting old, and sang happy birthday.  Micky was 42.

In the final 10 minute work session before the race, Wes Burtons crew made final adjustments from qualifying to race set up.  They did well as Wes came home in fourth place.

Shane Nalley was also involved in a racing accident.  Sometimes it take a couple hours just to fix a race car so you can load them in the hauler and get them home.  Shane about has repairs made so he can load up.

This week's GAS race was like the last one... Infield looked like a junk yard after the 100 laps was completed.  Here is Ronnie Sanders car who got caught up in a late race incident
